wow!! so I wonder if this is where the animation of wyrm from the old toy comercial came from.
I swear there is a lost episode with him and scumbug from the old toon because when the turtles meet scumbug for what we think is the first time in the old toon he goes "remember me turtles."
They may have but I sure didn't lol.
But seriously I am so mad that this series didn't go anywhere.

Wow VM...I thought I was the only one who remembers that awesome animated commercial.
I'd sure like to find it on VHS or DVD. I'd kill for animation cels of Wyrm.

A collection of old TMNT commercials on DVD would be great.

I'm sort of a tmnt toy geek.
I really love all of these characters.
you guys have inspired my own work so much.

I'd kill for some drawings of Mung from the red sky later episodes of the toon.
Do you have any idea who came up with that character?
I think I like him so much because he's very muppet looking.

So many missed opportunities at Mirage.

Mighty Mutanimals would have been a great series with a lot of important things to say.

Sorry, no. But it was probably a writer for the show working through Fred Wolf.

Wasn't anyone at Mirage.

Anytime! :)
And it's all good I don't know why I like the little hunchback so much lol
I have a soft spot in my heart of crazy looking characters.

Ed "Big Daddy" Roth and H. P. Lovecraft. My two inspirations for creating Wyrm.

-->> ..i wonder if the WYRM footage may be from some unused and lost TMNT ep .. maybe ? ?

V.. you think Jeff Scott may have had to do with summin' into the creation of Mung ?? ..>v<

Very great inspiration to have for such a crazy character.
Do you see him as blue or yellow?
Or a completly duffernt color?

TOKA:
I think the same thing Tokka I believe there's a lost episode or 2 of the old toon.
And I'm not sure but I do love that sneaky little hunchback slug lol.

-->> Third side of the coin ..((not that makes any sence ..)) ..

i always saw Wyrm and Scumbug ((i'm sure many of you do)) as obvious and bitter rivals ..the Card of Wyrm from the old toys made seem Wyrm kind of as an 'anti-establishment' character ..while he wasn't on Shredder's side he wasn't on the Turtle's side either.
The card said he only got along with Muckman and JoeEyball ..who actually were heroes in the end.

GET TO THE POINT TOKKA !! ::

..there is one undeveloped plot ..

a the creepy Monster issue featuring the return and Demise of Wyrm and Scumbug ..
The evil alien Toxeem .. who was one of the coolest looking Archie villains ever n' i don't think he got a fair shot. Just a 1- shot.

He crystalized the bugs.. and made a buch of threats agaisnt the Turtles .. blasted off..and then he was gone.

W T F ?! Whatever was gonna become of that Spider, Man !? ..>v<

Thank you so much for more great stuff.
Can you shed some light on how Wyrm the toy and Mutanimation is so different from Archie Wyrm?

Yellow is his original color. Playmates painted him blue.

I have to go with yellow.

So did we.

"The evil alien Toxeem .. who was one of the coolest looking Archie villains... made a buch of threats agaisnt the Turtles .. blasted off..and then he was gone.

He went to a galaxy far far away.

One word: Playmates. If they liked a certain character it would sometimes bounce back and forth between their and Mirage and go through several revisions before all parties were happy. The Mutanimals cartoon Wyrm is based more on the toy because... well, I really don't remember why. Probably because people would be more familiar with the toy sculpture than the original Archie version?

"I wonder B, Terra,Mossback and Null would have entered into the Mutanimals style Bible as well?"

Of the three, only Mossback made the cut. If I remember right and my notes are correct , Kid Terra and the demon Null were to appear later in season 2 and 3 (if we made it that far). Season one focused on global warming brought about by Maligna's malignoids.
