Mutanimals Night Shift

Above we have animation designs for that dynamic duo, Wingnut and Screwloose.

The Death's-head moth mutant is from Dimension X's Mothro Galaxy. His name is Lunawing and he has been ordered to Earth by Maligna, who plans on utilizing this looney, nocturnal nemesis to work the night shift in Earth's destruction. Lunawing has the ability, if he so chooses, to bring life or death by encasing a being within a cocoon
of sewn supernatural silk .

One interesting thing I've always heard from fans of Wingnut is how inspired they are by his story.

As a young bat boy Wingnut was keenly aware that he was different from other bat people physically.
Enduring painful teasing, rude remarks and name calling from the fellow bat children gave him a poor self-image.
But over time, and with the help of his prosthetic wings, he overcame his physical handicap to become a true superhero. This, it seems, is what has endeared a multitude of fans to the alien bat man.

All this from a comic book character. Cool.

awesome as usual...you really need to be putting your creative energy out there...and it doesn't get much more creative than this stuff.
In other words come up with a new series of characters like this and try shopping it around.
I think the time is right ;)

Well, tokka, hard to say.
Murph and I had so many stories to tell with the Mutanimals
that they may have been brought in or whole new concepts would have crowded them out.

Want to wish a warm-hearted Merry Christmas direct from Steve and I to you!

Thanks! Tell Murph that. I'm up for it if he is.
Although, I don't think we could compete with all the comics out there today. It's just so crowded.
We have discussed it before...

Thanks Merry Christmas to you guys also!
I don't know I'd love to see something differnt out there in a sea of bloody gore comics, walking dead knock offs, and re-imaging of classic heroes over and over again.

First-- Merry Christmas to you both and your families.

Second-- I am ignorant, so forgive this wish, but I do wish that somehow you guys and Murphy could resurrect this series and make a go of it. I echo VM's sentiments-- it would be nice to see something DIFFERENT out there in the comic world besides the usual blood-bath/angst-filled so-called "mature audience" comics.

I know that my fifth-graders past and present would read this series. The comics industry does NOT give the average kid credit I think in what they'd like.

However, in order to not go out on a limb, I hereby volunteer the students of my school to be beta readers!

:D:D:D

Merry Christmas.

I love the idea of the wicked moth. And a Death's Heads Hawk Moth to boot. Altho the Hummingbird Hawk moth's are slightly bigger still the Death's heads are pretty big (they're even known to raid Bee hives!) I love that he's from the Mothro Galaxy. *lol* Woulda been even funnier if he was from the Mothra Galaxy. :D

Lunawing sounds like the name of a Transformer or Gundam.

Wingnut and Screwloose will always have a special place in my heart. Their origin story is just so sad. *shakes her fists at Krang*
