More Mutanimations

Here we have Man Ray (officially named Ray Fillet for the Mutanimals cartoon pitch) and the "Den" - the floating fortress
of the Mutanimals. Quoting from the animation bible:
"The Den is the secret high-tech headquarters of the Mutanimals. Built by Donatello to be disguised as a volcanic island, The Den is both home and a mobile HQ for the team. Ocean-based, The Den can maneuver across all the earth's seas."

Of note the text reads that Ray is to be "modeled after Clint Eastwood for voice and personality."

Go ahead punk, make my day.

Can you see that ?

haha so he'd sound like old toon Casey funny stuff..
I'd like to know something though.
How did they plan to explain everything..since almost all of the characters had been on the turtles show already..including Ray who for whatever reason was styled differntly and made green.

I can't believe that I, in my lifetime, heard someone say the name "Bubbla". I would have forgotten that forever if I hadn't heard it. Maybe it's time to crack open my old comics...

-->> ah hell yeh !!

..that little guy ..you were thinking..ok here's another little sidekick.. cute and Disney-ish.

Por little fellah' gets killed rather quick and terribly.

An important lesson is learned by all ..

and most importantly a villain's life is changed for ever and he turns into an anti-hero and environmentalist .. "Kid Terra" ..

.. yeh .. stories like that burned forever in my mind.

I'm glad i'm not the only guy who loved the little freek. ;)

I wonder B, Terra,Mossback and Null would have entered into the Mutanimals style Bible as well .. >v<

The episode "Rebel Without A Fin" was originally written to feature Ray Fillet, but
when the script came in to the studio Ray was a bad guy and resembled the Man Ray character
in appearance only.

I explained the situation to Fred on the phone and he refused to make any changes. Murph and I rejected the script and Fred had the character redesigned so as to not resemble
Ray Fillet in any way. To this day neither Murph or myself has seen the episode .

Wow. I realy appreciate you sharing this with us. I love seeing the behind the scenes stuff, stuff that normaly we would never even know existed. Lots of good stuff going to waste, man.
Thank you for letting us in on it.
It's fascinating to see the art, unused as it may be, that was created. I love this stuff.
Charachter designs and concepts.
All very cool.
Again, Thank you for sharing.

Ray Filet = Clint Eastwood? LOL! That would've been fun to see!

Thanks for that...it's a pretty bad episode and the animation is odd.

Ray Man was Clint Eastwood?? So a scientist obbsessed with Sting Rays who's accidentally mutated into one had the personality of Clint Eastwood? *blinks* Alrighty then.

Cool to see a blueprint of the Mutanimals HQ. All that tech from the future turtles. Awesome.

Hmm...so would the future turtles have appeared in this series?? Would have been cool for Ninjara to meet Raph's wifey, Mezcaal. "Hey Grandma!" *L*
