I like it! Looks like there's a trading card packed with him.

-->> ..he also looks kinda cute there.

Only problem with the 'Leatherehead' figs is that the scale was always so rotten.

He needs to be nice and big.

Not the size of a puppy dog.. ;{

Amazing!!!
I never knew he was re-released wowza!
And Rose nope thats one of playmates pamphlets for the figures :)
The collector cards didn't start being packaged with the figures until late 1993.

Well I knew if wasn't one of THOSE cards. ;P Thought it might be some sort of Japanese card, but it makes sense to be a mini-catalog.

The Leatherhead figure was a huge bomb. Stores were upset that he didn't sell through so if I remember correctly, Playmates had to credit the retailers or take returns on the figure. Playmates wasn't happy and that's why the figure became a pariah and was never released again.
Which makes this 1992 figure pretty cool.

-->> ..that sucks..

the figure was small ..but not that bad.

Any hopes for a NECA - LEATHERHEAD toy ..

..can you imagine how big that Croc would be !?

A Neca Leatherhead. A dream come true! Have to wait and see if the assortments sell well enough. My fingers are crossed! I want a version with Dan's eye patch also!

-->> ..maybe Leatherhead could come with a removable eye patch accessory

enlightened ::..

**The sea creature featured in this issue ..

..and reappearing in TALES 20..

..you helped in her inception..

Sewage is a very beautiful character ..

and highly enigmatic.

A very faciniating favourite of mine.

Ummmm that's not true about why the Leatherhead figure dissapeared unless all the action figure magazines I have lied?
They say some one at Playmates broke the mold and that is why the figure was never brought back at all.
*shruggs*
That's the story I've seen all these years.
So I mean I'm sure you'd know more than me but just thought I'd share that tid bit of information.

And I think the Neca Leatherhead should have an eye patch also!
I think it's should be removable though at this point, and I think Neca are the ones that could do such a thing.

This is from my wish list:
Leatherhead
He should look as he did either in his first apearance in tales of tmnt or as he did in the story leatherhead Too.
He could come with a baby crock version of himself, eyepatch, maybe some tools, & an Utrom perhaps one of a differnt color, or dr. x utrom.

Not true vm. The mold was fine and continued to pump out figures for the markets overseas, as you can see from this fine 1992 Japanese example!

Very odd, perhaps playmates was telling people that so they didn't look like the jerks they are.
I hope I didn't come off as a jerk btw, just thought I'd share what the toy guides where saying about the issue of this figure never being re-released here when figures like Baxter Stockman where released time and time again.

-->> ..perhaps is wasn't misinformation on Playmates part.. but ' miscommunication' on the part of a company spokesman.

Maybe someone was mistaken..and at a a certain point they dropped the U.S. market.

What won't sell here won't necessarily be the same for Japan. And vice-versa ..

guess that explains the Saint Turtle and the other Super Mutants from Japan..

..or Leatherhead.
