The Vintage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shirt Off My Back

Here's a vintage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle T-shirt I've had for years. Back in the day these were everywhere around Mirage and we all snagged a few to wear. I grabbed this one when I saw that crazy cockroach, Scumbug was on it. I have a Man Ray one somewhere and also a couple with Wingnut and Mondo Gecko on them. I had a bunch with different turtle art but they must be long gone. They were faded and tattered anyway, worn out by all the repeated washing and wearing.

I don't remember Scum Bug or Man Ray from the old cartoon for some reason. Strange... maybe just because it was so long ago? Of course I remember Baxter Stockman. I even recall Mondo Gecko, the only mutant in the world perhaps even more skater-ish than Michelangelo...

That t-shirt is awesome. Sheer awesome.

Scumbug was one of my favourite bad-guy figures. Scumbug, Mutagen man, Muckman and Wingnut (& Screwloose, of course) were my favouritists!!

A t-shirt with Man Ray, my all-time favorite eco-terrorist :p... gasp! I'd pay a fortune to have that one.

daniel,
Scumbug is in the episode Night of the Rogues.
There was to have been a Man Ray episode but Steve and I rejected it. Fred Wolf ignored our vision.

This is awesome. I used to love all the different styles of Turtle art on stuff.

Who drew this one? Anyone from the Mirage crew?

Nope . This art was by the T-Shirt company.

Awesome! I wonder why Raph is holding a sledge hammer... Then again, Baxter and Scumbug are bigger than your average house fly. :)

-->> ..also .. it is my belief that the Mirage Staff likes to wash n' wear ..and wear-out.. and does not believe in the regenative powers of WOOLITE® ..

all my vintage shirts from 1990 and older i clean in cold water wash or on a delicate cycle .. and they still are holding up.
