I remember seeing ads for those buttons as well. They come up on ebay occasionally, but I never got around to nabbing a set.
Love the interview you posted, roseangelo! Things were a little different back then, weren't they? No big corporations to deal with. Just a handshake, a man with a button making machine, and some markers.

I also have set #191, but the plastic cover is loose quite significantly on Raph and slightly on Mike and Leo.
