I like em', I think an animated series that looks like this would be rad.
Hell I think any Mutanimals comign back at all in any form would be rad.

I agree with all three of you guys! The art is cool, a show would be cool, and seeing them back, in any form would be really cool. The only question is, how would you bring them back (If the opportunity presented itself)? Ghosts? Clones? That whole storyline never really happened? People just "forgot" they died? Dream world? What? What?

I think starting the characters over may be the best idea at this point with so many years behind us now.
But you could always have Leatherhead coming from the new turtles cartoon as a good guy if they wanted to make a new show.

Wow, these are friggin' spectacular! (My current desktop image!) I love the look, dynamism, and physical diversity of Carrozza's renditions. (However, I do have to say that I much prefer Man Ray's original design and name. When he made his debut in TMNTA, he was just about as cool and perfect as a character could possibly be in my young mind.) Here's hoping that Carrozza might decide to put his spin on Slash at some point, as I always hoped that he'd eventually join the Mutanimals... even if only as a reserve member.

Seeing this beautiful piece of work simply makes me realize—even more than I already did—just how much I miss the Mutanimals. Count me among those who would love to see these great characters revived in some capacity. Perhaps it'll never happen, but I'm yet another TMNT fan who would like to see the Archie TMNT universe return on a regular basis, alongside our beloved Mirage TMNT's. I've never had a problem with multiple comic book universes coexisting simultaneously. (How many does Marvel currently have?)

Also, it's always saddened me that the Mutanimals met their demise in the manner in which they did. If you don't mind my asking, what was the inspiration for killing the characters off?

Several different scenarios have been discussed in the past but with no interest from Mirage there's never been a need to decide on one.

Lord I can't even escape political bullshit in my favorite blogs now..*rolls eyes*
I can't wait this crap is over with and people go back to being obsessed with brain dead stars.

ANYWAY If Mirage doesn't have any use for the characters or any plans why don't they just give them back to you, or you can buy them back or whatever.

Oh, hey! That's what I get for falling behind on this blog! Super glad you like it, guys! For some perspective, dig TMNTA #16 and MM #5 for some very old fan art of mine!

Luna, I was in part doing the proposed animated Mutanimals (hence the wrist bands and Ninjara) so that's why I was using that version of Ray. I prefer classic Man Ray too. I wanna do a TMNTA lineup sometime as well, so I'll include Slash (and Cudley!) then.
