For Your Approval

Now this is the stuff we saw nearly everyday. Concept art coming through the approval pipeline. Usually done with markers and mounted on Bristol board, this is the first glimpse of what the product would look like. A lot of this is showing up in online auctions and for our money is the cool stuff to collect. One of a kind and just seeing it again brings back fond memories for us. Maybe you recognize some of these items or have them in your collection?

Mickey Mouse Club

Back in the mid 90's the agency that I was employed by got me quite a bit of Disney work. I had a lot of fun penciling and inking such properties as The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Lady and the Tramp, and Winnie the Pooh. I also worked on such classic characters as Mickey, Donald, and Goofy, amongst many.

Odd Rods

Here's a certain ruler of Dimension X on his Silly Cycle way back in the early 1970's.
Steve and I just LOVE this fad from the 60's! We had them all, Odd Rods, Silly Cycles, Fiends and Machines and Rat Fink.
