Hothead's extending neck was courtesy of Rattlor. Although Playmates wouldn't spring for the mechanism and simply had the child pull the neck out like Extendar.
I did ages ago but sadly I have no images and it's long gone..this was before the times of when it was cool to make custom figures. Now it seems everyone and their grandma are doing it....
Murph and I presented the idea to Playmates of re-releasing/repainting some of the figures to match their Archie counterparts. Can you guess what they said? A yellow Warrior Dragon topped the list.
hmmm, When did you guys ask this? Recently or a long time ago? Rose said Playmates was interested in doing figures that are updated versions of old characters or something like that, heck they even wanted a new Mutagenman in the show..of course Peter Laird shot that idea right in the face. :\
But I'd love to know what Playmates said...they most def. are not the company I'd go to when I start shopping my toy line idea.
Which is the official name of the character: Hothead or Warrior Dragon?
ReplyDeleteGood question Adam. It could go either way I guess.
ReplyDeleteTo be Honest I think toys are better without stupid buttons on them, so I like Hothead the way he is just wish he was 1. yellow & 2. large.
ReplyDeletehas anyone repainted one to make it comic-accurate?

This was back when the Mutanimals series was still going.
ReplyDeleteI always prefer toys that you have to move yourself. I HATE figures with mechanisms, so I'm on board with Playmate's cheapness here.
ReplyDeletevaughn, cool that you made one yourself heh.
ReplyDeletedoes it look like that toy is poppin a huge errection to that dragon's face to anyone else?
